CEDIA Insider Secrets: Use out of the way bathrooms

*pictured: the extremely not-busy restrooms on the west side of the DCC.

Like Robert Frost, I strongly recommend taking the road less travelled. It really can make all the difference.

Case in point: the Denver Convention Centre is well furnished with many spacious restrooms. However, the facilities in the main traffic corridors are insanely busy during peak times, such as breaks between classes or during the lunch hour. In addition to the awkward social situation involving hanging around waiting for a stall or urinal and trying not to make eye contact with anyone, there’s also the cleanliness issue. The DCC’s janitorial staff tries, they really do, but the cleanliness of the rest rooms in the high traffic zones can be pretty gross.

Fastidious convention goers know that taking an extra minute or three to reach one of the outlying restrooms on the DCC’s perimeter is a wise decision. Much cleaner, and even better, you usually have it all to yourself.
