Marketnews reports that Gefen has unofficially announced that they will be bowing their wireless HDMI extender at CEDIA Expo this week.
Gefen, the Chatsworth, CA-based connectivity specialty firm, is demonstrating a wireless HDTV-with-uncompressed-audio system at CEDIAEXPO in, CO this week. This next-generation system uses high definition wireless technology by Amimon that operates in the 5GHz unlicensed band to send signals in the HDMI format up to 30 meters (90’).
This is especially newsworthy because Gefen has been promising to show us this piece for the past three years. Fourth time's the charm, as they say.
