You Won't Fool The Children Of The Revolution

Some anti-hipster types I know were chagrined to learn that hipster superstore Urban Outfitters sells Jack Kerouac-themed consumer goods (see image above).

Personally, I was so outraged, I nearly spilled my green tea chai latte all over both my MacBook and my Che Guevarra t-shirt! And then I blogged about it!

If you haven't already read it, now seems like a good time to reccomend Joseph Heath's The Rebel Sell, which does a great job of dissecting how pop culture and consumer interests always subvert the subversive.
