Bentonville, Ark. – Wal-Mart will back Blu-ray exclusively in its 4,000 Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club stores in the United States by June, the chain said in a statement on its Web site this afternoon.

If I did not enjoy your analysis and choice of words so much, I might have to say that I check your blog so often for the pleasure of seeing the images you choose.
At least the format wars these days are mercifully short. Although the conspiracy theorist in me wonders if the dollars expended thus far aren't roughly equal to a worldwide product launch advertising campaign. It is interesting to note that NOBODY with even a passing interest in home electronics and entertainment could have missed this saga, and now this news is almost like saying, "The drawbridge to the 'Castle of Dreams' is down and the guards have all run off to Acapulco!"
But hey, it's early, I'm caffeine deprived and in a snitty mood. Still, I think I just decided what I want for my birthday.
