Yesterday's post on The Stalwart about the versatility of bamboo as a building material reminded me of a shameless plug that I had been intending to make.
Do Bamboo.com is a garment maker that's producing t-shirts and other apparel using a 70% bamboo/30% cotton blend. Not only do they feel nice, they wash and wear really well too. Best of all, they are cheap: $20 each, including shipping. I can imagine hoity holistic retailers like Lululemon wanting $80 for something like this.

I picked up several from Toronto Weightlifting that are logo'ed with their team image graphic. They no longer have the shirts on their online store, but the last time I heard, they still have inventory, so if you want to wear a spiffy t-shirt, and help support Olympic Weightlifing in Canada (and who wouldn't?), drop them a line and see if they still have your size.

I've been hearing about the use of bamboo in clothing & I see that Do Bamboo also has bed sheets & towels. I wonder if these other products are as comfy as the clothing??
That's an excellent question. I would imagine so, but I don't know anybody who has any yet.
