Sony Rolls Out The Next Big Thing

Just when I go and use the phrase continuing dissapointment to describe Sony, they pull out a trump card and show that they're still willing to innovate.

Forbes: Sony to start selling TVs with organic electroluminescent screens this year
TOKYO (XFN-ASIA) - Sony Corp plans to start selling this year selling thinner televisions with organic electroluminescent (OEL) screens, becoming the first company to commercialize this kind to TV set, a Sony spokeswoman said.
'Eleven-inch size televisions with organic electroluminescent screens are planned to be available in the market within this year in Japan,' the spokeswoman said.
She said the price had yet to be determined.
The company aims eventually to produce larger televisions using OEL screens, she said.

This will be big. Really, really big. Maybe not for three or five years, but trust me, this is the next wave.
