Jack Mintz has a great column in the new Canadian Business about the debate over policy on climate change.
Unfortunately, as someone whose bread is buttered by the resource industry, and who believes that politicians seldom understand the issues they seek to legislate, I don't hold out a great deal of hope for a sensible policy. The negative, paranoid side of my personality fears a return to 1981, and a serious blow to Alberta's economy as a result of poorly thought out (and as Jack Mintz says, "irresponsible") lawmaking.
